Jose Ortiz arrived on time today, as promised, at precisely 8 a.m. He came with a crew of one. Upon arrival, he got right to work, removing a tree on our property. He chose to remove it safely by using a basket to stand inside as he started at the top of the tree and worked down. He removed heavy limbs along the way down. Then once the trunk was removed, he used his grinder to remove the remaining stump, as requested. He raked up the sawdust which we will be using for mulch. Overall, I am very pleased and highly recommend Ortiz Tree Service.

An oak tree had fallen over the access road to my house and a neighbors. I called Jose because he was in King City and I hoped I wouldn’t have to wait for an out of town tree cutter. Jose said he had some of his workers out on a job, but he would come by and look at it. I only had to wait about an hour and he pulled up to my house with his limb grinder. He was very nice, professional, and I could tell he loved what he did, and was proud of his work. He speaks Spanish and has very clear English so it was very easy to communicate my needs. Within an hour or so, he had the tree limb ground up, and the remaining log on the side of the road as I wanted. I’m so glad I found a local tree trimmer that I can continue to use in the future at a reasonable price!!!! I highly recommend Jose and his team and wish that I can give him more stars!!!

Ortiz’s Tree Services provides tree trimming and removal services in the Central Coast,/Salinas Valley/Monterey County, as far south as Camp Roberts (Monterey-SLO County border), east to San Benito County, and as far north as South Santa Clara County (Gilroy, San Martin, Morgan Hill). You won’t find a faster, safer and more thorough crew of hardworking men who quickly prune trees of any size, cut down trees of any size, and who clean up after themselves! They work quickly and efficiently, show up when they say they are going to, and are mindful of customer desires and satisfaction. They brought down a 50-plus foot tall elm in my backyard in less than 2 hours, and had removed the debris from my backyard and had chipped the yard waste to haul away. The crew speaks excellent English, and are utterly trustworthy. Each have been trained in safety procedures, and even though they work safely, they work quickly, too! You might find tree services who have been in business longer, but I am certain they don’t work as quickly as Jose Ortiz’s crew. Now is the time to get your trees pruned and trimmed–please consider using this company for your tree removal needs.

Just went through heavy rains and it made the soil in our backyard really soft and we had a couple of mature trees that for some reason started to uproot and about to collapse on our side yard fence. Called Otiz’s tree service and spoke to Jose. Hoping they would be able to help us ASAP and they did. He was out on another job and told us he would be here in an hour. He showed up within that hour and they handled business!! They cut the tree down and removed all limbs and brush. Cost was reasonable!! Plan on calling them again for some other trees that need to be trimmed and a couple of older Palm trees removed!! Jose was professional and friendly, glad I called this place. Very happy satisfied customer here!

I loved their quick response in providing the service I needed in just one day. They showed up with great equipment and the service was very professional. Ortiz and his crew were very polite and did an excellent job trimming, cutting my trees in my back yard, and my shrubs in my front yard. My yards looks like a brand new place. We had two trees that were overgrown and had a lot of dead branches that were in dire need of pruning. I had previously dealt with Jose for stump grinding, so didn’t hesitate to call him for a quote. He was out working a job In Lockwood when I called him. He told me that he would stop by my house later that day and true to his word, he was! I have had dealings with other contractors that promised to show up and blew it off – not Jose! Anyway he gave me a what I felt was a fair price and said that he would be out the next week to complete the job. He texted me the morning he was coming to make sure it was OK to start and also noted what time he would arrive. He and his crew arrived right on time. Jose took the time to introduce me to his crew (very professional) and they went to work on my trees. They were here 6+ hours and my trees look fantastic! They removed all the limbs/branches and cleaned up the yard. We are very pleased with Jose & his crew and I will definitely use his service for all my tree needs. Jose is very professional, trustworthy and does what he says he will do. We highly recommend his services. If we could give 6 stars, we would!
